Internet advertising is claimed to be all the rage because almost everyone has an iphone, computer, or both. It seems to me though that people barely pay attention to ads online. They are considered hindrances. TV and radio are still tops.
Why do you state the obvious? I would go so far as to say that TV, radio, and newspapers and magazines are the most effective still. Anybody will stop and watch a funny television commercial but online it IS A HUGE HINDRANCE.
