There are a surprising number of different jobs that require flame resistant clothing (FR clothing). Many of these flame retardant uniforms are surprisingly expensive, however that does not mean finding FR clothing cheap is impossible. In fact, many of the jobs that require FR clothing do not make a whole ton of money. In fact, many of them are pretty middle class careers.
Here are three jobs that would flame resistant material for their uniforms.
Starting off with the most obvious job on this list is Firemen. Of course their massive jackets and over pants make a fire retardant suit, but did you know that most companies that make FR clothing cheap also make tee shirts, pants and other items that Firemen would wear under their suits in fireproof material? No doubt a fireman wears kinds of items underneath his suit.
2. Oil rig workers.
When you work with a highly flammable substance like oil, and your machinery can get overheated easily, well, chances are you are going to want fireproof clothing. That is why you see them in the big overall suits, which are all FR coveralls.
3. Maintenance workers.
Fires can start anywhere, at any time, with the worst of luck. Maintenance workers often have to work with electricity, which can cause fires, as well as having to deal with other situations in which a fire might start. Plus, Fr jackets are pretty durable, and good for doing heavy labor, which is oft required of maintenance workers. Fire resistant clothes are often good to get dirty in.
